The Sonnenalp features 112 delightfully comfortable, luxury suites and 15 hotel rooms with Bavarian-inspired furniture and décor and a view of either Gore Creek or Vail Village. The Sonnenalp is regarded as one of the best places to stay in Vail and among the select award-winning luxury hotels in the Rocky Mountains. The Sonnenalp has a variety of wedding venue options including Ludwig’s, up to 150 guests, with a beautiful glass enclosed Terrace and the Grand Bavaria Ballroom, up to 200 guests, for wedding receptions. The Swiss Chalet, up to 120 guests, is a unique space for rehearsal dinners.
The Sonnenalp and Vail Chapel have partnered to offer cocktail hours with hors d'oeuvres prepared by the Sonnenalp’s F&B team on the two newly designed Weigers and West Creekside Terraces. This is a great option for weddings hosting their ceremonies at the Vail Chapel to flow right into cocktail hour by Gore Creek.
